Teen Idols: Where Will They Be in 10 Years?

Lets face it, teen idols grown up. One minute they’re singing “Lets Get Together” in “The Parent Trap” - and the next, they’re inmate #2409752. Well, maybe that’s just Lindsay Lohan. Either way, they don’t stay young forever. Just ask Kirk Cameron, Corey Feldman and Drew Barrymore. In 2010, we have quite a few teen stars of our own - but where will they wind up in 10 years?

Twitter Royalty: @aplusk vs. @britneyspears

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Despite Ashton Kutcher’s successful effort in surpassing CNN’s number of Twitter followers last year, and going on to become the #1 most followed Tweep on Twitter, someone has now taken away his crown. Move over @aplusk, @britneyspears is now the supreme ruler of the Twitterverse with 5,067,677 followers at last count.

Alexander McQueen: A Retrospective

The first thing I ever wrote was an article about Alexander McQueen. He, alongside Galliano and Lagerfeld are the three people most responsible for me going into fashion and to be so eager to start a career as a designer. He is a genius (I don’t say “was” because his art makes him live on). His gift, his uncanny talent for finding shapes and colors and textures in the most amazing places, and transforming them into a pure manifestation of the highest expression of fashion, is just irreplaceable.

Unfortunately, 2010 Brings Us More LiLo & Ed Hardy

While at home, resting from my job, I’ve had the time to scroll through news about fashion from all over the world. And to close this magnificent year that brought us so many wonders, I would like to add my thoughts on two lesser wonders; Lilo’s “extended” fashion line, and a Q&A from the man behind Ed Hardy himself, Christian Audigier…

STYLE PROFILE: Blake Lively

I usually destroy people when I talk about their fashion sense (don’t get me started on Miley), and for some reason those are the most read articles. Yet, Blake Lively is quite difficult for me to criticize because I feel she is really heading towards a fantastic direction in terms of style, especially when discussing the colors she chooses and the labels she prefers. Blake Lively (or our favorite high-school whore from Gossip Girl) is definitely becoming an IT girl in my book.

Victoria Beckham Changes The Look & Name Of Her Denim Line

By now people are recognizing Victoria Beckham as a designer, rather than a former Spice Girl or a footballer wife. She has overcome bad press (eating disorders, infidelities, etc.) and actually shown her doubters that she is not just a skinny bitch, but an intelligent businesswoman. After acclaimed formal collections, she has come forth with the second incarnation of her denim line, called Victoria Beckham Denim. I have no clue why she decided to call the previous one DVB, since no one could easily recognize her famous name. So, in a narcissistic indulgence, she goes ahead and stamps her full name on it.
