Somewhere in middle America, thirteen-year-old boys everywhere are exchanging high-fives and are rejoicing by toking up. Michael Phelps, Beijing Olympic hero, was caught getting high from a bong where the photos were published in the UK’s “New of the World.” What was Michael doing? Witnesses from the original story said that Phelps was “loud and obnoxious,” gulping beer and heavily smoking up. He was a natural at getting high:“You could tell Michael had smoked before. He grabbed the bong and a lighter and knew exactly what to do,” one witness said. “He looked just as natural with a bong in his hands as he does swimming in the pool. He was the gold medal winner of bong hits. Michael ended up getting a little paranoid, though, because before too long he looked like he was nervous and ran out of the place.”

A controversial anti-abortion ad has been pulled from NBC’s Super Bowl line-up.
The ad, by Catholic Vote, challenges Americans to rethink the repercussions of abortion and life without Barack Obama, the 44th president of the United States. “Life, Imagine the Potential,” it states.

Controversial? Too much? Is NBC in the right, or are they overreacting?
