What Do Psychics and Packing Have in Common?

There are a few basic skills that, if mastered, can make your life much easier. Tasks like tying your shoes, making a sandwich, and knowing how to do your own laundry all top that list. But for me, packing a suitcase is one of those basic skills that I have yet to perfect. Everytime I’m faced with the seemingly simple task of filling my luggage, a wave of debilitating confusion comes over me. Questions fill my head such as; How many jeans should do I need for five days? Am I going to regret not bringing those black pumps? What am I forgetting?

My indecision often ends with me packing more than I need, resulting in a massive waste of time and energy as I lug three heavy bags around the airport. I blame this on my psychic inabilites. I simply can not predict what I’m going to want to wear in the future! Props to anyone who can foresee what combination of clothes and accessories they’ll be wearing over the next week. I, on the other hand, need at least eight three options.

Since I can not predict my fate, I’ve come to accept it. Until I develop fortune-telling skills, packing a suitcase will always be an elaborate endeavor in my life.

Well, just learn how to pack! It’s not simple, but practice really does make perfect. I think that you should just focus on what to pack and then do it without distractions. When I listen to music, talk on the phone, watch tv, I get distracted to the point that I forget UNDERWEAR.
