If you’ve been keeping up with the Fall 2009 fashion shows, you should have caught sight of how much leather and fur have dominated the runway. And as any ardent fashionista or fashion fan would know, PETA is usually front-row, red paint in hand, ready to jump on the next fur-infested concoction sent down the catwalk.

But through the New York, London and Milan shows, there was no trace of PETA. I was actually beginning to worry–has PETA actually given up? Are PETA staffers just at home, barfing or cursing the death of these designers? In fact, no, to both hypotheses; they came out full force in the middle of Paris Fashion Week and some may say that they were acting a bit like animals…

PETA staff ditched the flour this time (that was from Lindsay Lohan’s previous 15-seconds of fame) and threw eggs, yes, EGGS at editors rushing into Jean Paul Gaultier’s show. One volunteer even went so far as to rip the sleeve off of Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld’s Balenciaga coat. Ouch.

PETA’s tactics might have been less debatable if they abstained from hurling eggs. I thought hardcore PETA members abstained from using animal products? Maybe they used plastic Easter eggs?

peta is so unrefined in their actions. do they want people to join in their cause or to hate them? i am really confused.

that’s funny…throwing eggs, which are animal products…but serious, that is too much. can’t they get sued for attacking people? and ripping clothes…X_x

ugh. they give humane a bad name.

Carine is so haggard. She basically deserved to get the coat ripped off her back.

But seriously, PETA over reacts like terrorists.
