So what does Madonna’s new album cover say to you?

This is the album cover for “Hard Candy” and we must admit, we’re perplexed.

The Superficial calls it scary, Perez calls it fierce, The Pop Fix just calls it confusing. Why?

1. The uniboob. Last time I checked, Madge had two of them. But then again, everyone seems to be jumping on the plastic surgery bandwagon these days, so maybe she took a little trip to Dr. 90210?

2. The outfit. Is this a leotard? Lingerie? Swimsuit? I just don’t get it. And the last time I saw someone wearing thigh-high, lace up boots it was in the Castro…on a man.

3. The necklace. Now we love Madonna is all about controversy, but did we really need to add the cross necklace? Religious accessories with the dominatrix inspired outfit is a little too “Like a Prayer,” Madge. You’ve been there, done that, this is 2008!
