THE POP FIX Weekend Concert Picks 06/19-06/21

This weekend is an indie bonanza for Los Angeles citizenry lucky enough to acquire several hot tickets – among the big shows this weekend are legendary Americana rockers Wilco at the Fox Theater and experimental New Yorkers Grizzly Bear with two shows in the L.A. area. Jack Black is most well-known for his roles in such film classics as Kung-Fu Panda and School of Rock, but it’s with buddy and acoustic partner-in-crime Kyle Gass that he really shows off his comedic timing, not to mention impressive shredding skills. Fresh off the release of their latest live release, The Complete Masterworks Part II, the duo has again gone on tour to “rock the socks off” countless audiences. Whether it be debating the merits of gentle love-making vs. rough or pondering the possibility of an actual cock pushup, Tenacious D promise a wickedly entertaining show from the “greatest band in the world.”
