As predicted, Blake Lewis’ album flopped on the charts. Lewis came in at number 10 with 98,000 albums sold. The Idol runner-up was the fourth bestselling second-place finisher behind Clay Aiken, Katharine McPhee, and Bo Bice. He did though, sell more than Diana DeGarmo and Justin Guarini.

The charts belonged to Josh Groban whose Christmas album, Noel , has dominated the number one position for three weeks.  Groban sold 581,000 copies making his album a certified double-platinum (and going) hit! Congrats!!

Sorry, Blake. But seriously, with a disastrous album cover and corny beatboxing skills, did you really believe you could top any chart but the fug chart?

We’re waiting for a Justin Guarini to happen to Blake anytime soon…

The singer’s debut album is titled, “Audio Daydream” and is a CD that composes of various projects that Lewis worked on previous to the competition.

The CD came out on Dec 4, but we’ll see soon how well he placed in the charts.

I’m sure with a cover like this, he’ll get as far as Clay Aiken does from a gay bar–not far at all. Like seriously Blake, did you look at the cover? You look like the futuristic version of a Hobbit–really. Was this a a sick joke played by Arista? Cuz you be FUGGGGG…I’m talking Oprah without makeup fuggg.

And honestly, did you make your own music video with a cheap Mini-DV camera? I love the angles and the storyline. It makes as much sense as Arista actually releasing your album.
