I’m fairly certain you are currently experiencing a movie excitement high with Sony releasing the debut trailer for “The Equalizer,” starring Denzel Washington. It’ll be awhile before we can catch that in the theaters, but this past holiday weekend mutants took down the ultimate monster. “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” topped off the weekend box office with an estimated 90-million dollar gross, which is roughly 40-million more than last year’s debut of “The Wolverine.” Last week’s top blockbuster, “Godzilla,” managed to put up a fight with a weekend estimated gross of 31 million. Other weekend highlights include Adam Sandler’s unnecessary film, “Blended,” and the appearance of Jon Favreau’s movie, “Chef.” Check out this weekend’s top grossing films in THEPOPFIX’s weekly installment of all things new at the box office!
