Victoria Beckham Changes The Look & Name Of Her Denim Line

By now people are recognizing Victoria Beckham as a designer, rather than a former Spice Girl or a footballer wife. She has overcome bad press (eating disorders, infidelities, etc.) and actually shown her doubters that she is not just a skinny bitch, but an intelligent businesswoman. After acclaimed formal collections, she has come forth with the second incarnation of her denim line, called Victoria Beckham Denim. I have no clue why she decided to call the previous one DVB, since no one could easily recognize her famous name. So, in a narcissistic indulgence, she goes ahead and stamps her full name on it.

A Few Of My Favorite Things

This time of year is special for most due to the associations that come along with it. Whether it’s time with loved ones, a rooftop covered in snow, traditions, or an amazing feast that only comes once or twice a year, the holidays are a time to relive old memories and create new ones. Here are some of my favorite things that have saturated my old holiday memories, and that continue to hold importance in the memories that have yet to be created.

THE CRITIC: Electro-Pop Savant Annie’s “Don’t Stop” Is The Music Of A New Generation

Throwaway pop artists, despite the heaps of critical and elitist disdain heaped upon them and the negative connotations they routinely perform under, couldn’t exist under a more precarious balancing act. Record a shitty, everyday pop song, and you’re scorned, your artistic credibility sunk, torn down as overly derivate or robotically manufactured, and your long-term career doomed to happy hour residencies at Margaritavilles in family-styled resort towns once the record company declines your third album option. But write that perfect pop song and you become acceptable, nay, cool to like, someone that critics and prepubescent girls can mutually agree successfully taps that hidden bone in our body that makes us move our hips like “yeah.” Write two and you’re set. Write two whole album’s worth, and you have Norwegian electro-pop savant Annie.

Top 5 IKEA Commercials Of All Time

A lot of great home accessories and furnishings come from Ikea, just ask any poor college student. But by far, the best things THE POP FIX has ever seen from the Scandinavian mega-store are the ingenious ad campaigns. These comical advertisements have brightened our day, and even encouraged us to shop at Ikea and casually overlook the fact we’ll probably throw the items out after a year, if they even last that long. Enjoy our countdown of our favorite Ikea commercials.

THE POP FIX Finds Free Stuff Online

A wise man once said, “you get what you pay for.” This statement has irritated many a dedicated bargain hunter throughout history. If you do your homework, seek the deals, and/or wait for you favorite items to go on sale, shouldn’t the smart consumer be rewarded rather than proverbially berated? At least, that’s what we think at THE POP FIX, the online magazine that often runs content on how you can make the most of your money. Perhaps the saying should be, “you get what you look for.” But can you find anything interesting without actually spending money? We went on an internet search to find out. And, well, you can be the judge.

THE GUIDE: What To Look For On The Holiday Sale Racks

Last week I showed you what to get that special man in your life, and this week it is time for me to jump into the wisest and most relevant information of the season: what to buy during the holiday sales! Regardless if you are bootylicious like Beyoncé or as skinny as Paris Hilton, I will show you exactly what to look for in the sale racks from Saks, Neiman Marcus, H&M, Target and Gap, some of my favorite stores. Remember, it is not appropriate in these times of economic woe to wear designer head to toe, but rather mix and match as much as possible. So here it comes again, year after year, fighting over sale items from Thanksgiving weekend ‘til the 25th of December, when everything that did not sell must be let go at incredible, discounted prices…
