LC Does Kohls

Regardless of Speidi’s attempts to destroy her, Lauren Conrad seems to come back stronger than ever, be it with books (best-seller LA Candy will become a movie), or a fashion line. For the latter, she joined forces with Kohl’s and was able to put together a simple and cute collection (”easy-breezy-beautiful” comes to mind).

She presents several boring tops and three denim designs, as well as a few dresses. From those I chose the ones you must wear if Galliano, Dior or Chanel are outside your budget for the season (plus, most of them are already on sale).

Dresses

The first is a beautiful flowered number with an over-sized belt. Try this look if you have some curves and/or don’t like to wear short-short skirts. It is pretty, hides the unnecessary flesh, and has a very nice texture to it.

Following the floral ensemble, she shows another short dress with a well-sewn sweetheart neckline. This is perfect for mornings gatherings, cocktail outings, and any occasion that calls for a little black dress. Try a huge scarf on the head or a pink headband (very Gossip Girl).

Jeans

Cute, simple, well cut, cheap, they have it all! Wear these jeans with a purple or violet top and yellow accessories (and perhaps a huge Dior bag).

Tops

Wearing dark transparencies was the hype at Paris and New York Fashion Week (remember Galliano?), so this is a similar, good and affordable piece for a night out. But, always remember to wear something underneath, unless you think you are Katie Price (the UK’s current fame-reality-star-fame-whore) and you want everyone to look at your boobs.

However, if  you’re not into transparencies, wearing a nice comfy sweater is always in, specially with an over-sized mustard or yellow Fendi bag (or, of course, whatever you snatch at Target).

Enjoy, and happy shopping!

Can you say YAWN!!! LC please dont quit your day job. Seems like you can hardly swing a cat by the tail withour hitting a wanna be fashion designer. Its been attempted by the ladies on the Atlanta housewifes and now LC. At least LC has one semister of fashion design school under her belt. Mr. Valentino can rest easy that his job is secure.

Awww come on, it’s not that bad.
I mean, it’s Kohl’s, so do not expect couture.
However, I agree, you lift a stone and 20-30 “up-and-coming” designers crawl out of it.
