Inspiring Workout Scenes In Movies
We are three weeks into January and in these final days we are all finding out who stuck to their new year’s resolutions and who just couldn’t hold on. Becoming active and getting in shape is on average one of the more popular resolutions. The gyms become overly crowded and fitness companies smile due to the increase in clothing and equipment being purchased. Sadly a lot of these clothes still have the tags on them and the new weights haven’t been lifted up once. In a couple weeks it will be a new month and everyone loves fresh starts. With that being said it’s time to turn Netflix off and give those running shoes another try. THEPOPFIX wants to assist you in the transition from indulging yourself with movies by incorporating that into your workout regimen.

Scenes In Movies
Running Stairs:
Obviously this one is inspired by “Rocky.” This high-intensity styled workout was shown in a few of the “Rocky” films and had provided viewers with some stimulation to inspire them to tackle their own stairs Sylvester Stallone style. Climbing staircases gets your blood pumping fast and allows you to burn off calories in a short amount of time. Get out there and tone that lower body!
Aerobics:
This retro cardio craze from the 80’s caught everyone’s eye when they saw Jamie Lee Curtis in “Perfect.” Aerobics generate low to high intensity and creates great weight loss results. The version of aerobics Curtis does in this film is the more dance style alternative which makes working out fun. A modern version of this exercise would be Zumba. You can find a local Zumba class or purchase the DVD version.
Push Ups
Demi Moore takes it to the next level in “G.I. Jane” with her insane one armed push ups. Although this scene may be intimidating it’s an awesome source of inspiration. She even does push ups using the back of chairs! There are great apps out there that will help you improve your upper arm strength and be able to get to that “G.I. Jane” level. Push ups will help you with daily activity and better sport performance.
