Looks like the “Superbad” actor Michael Cera has released a surprise album. My first thought was, “This is probably going to be so hipster that it hurts.” “True That” has 18 songs that can be streamed via Bandcamp. It is currently categorized as Indie-Folk and consists of full songs that include vocals, yet many tracks are solely melodies. As much as I like to support everyone’s own art and not critique their hard work, I must say I am sadly not a fan of Cera’s musical side. If he happens to be looking to crossover into the music industry, I think that will be a very difficult road. I personally love his comedy and will continue to support him and his films.
