Roberto Orci Rumored To Direct “Star Trek 3″
J.J. Abrams is too busy directing the 7th episode of “
Star Wars,” so the director’s chair for “
Star Trek: 3” is currently open.
Roberto Orci is the latest to be rumored to join the production. This is a very massive project to take on, but it seems like
Paramount may be willing to turn over the reigns to this first-timer. Orci has been a producer on many big box office films such as, “
The Proposal” and “
Now You See Me,” along
with the television series, “
Sleepy Hollow.” I’m sure major Star Trek franchise fans are freaking out over a first-time directing taking over, but if it gives you any comfort, he was also the producer on “
Star Trek” and “
Star Trek: Into Darkness.” Also Abrams will remain a producer of the movie.
