As THE POP FIX Predicted, Winehouse Cancels on Coachella, Still Not in Rehab

As predicted in an earlier POP FIX article chronicling the Coachella line up, Amy Winehouse will not be headlining or even showing face at Coachella next month. And I quote myself:

“…actually thinking Amy Winehouse will show up would require complete and total ignorance of the past two years of her personal and professional life.”

Yup, we called it.

But instead of drug related mishaps or time in rehab preventing her from making it out to California, the troubled singer is actually facing legal issues that will keep her away from the epic music festival in Indio. Winehouse faces assault charges for allegedly attacking a fan last September in England. According to People, Winehouse’s rep Chris Goodman said, “She cannot go [to Coachella] because of current legal issues.”

Just over a year ago, Winehouse was not able to attend the Grammys because the U.S. government would not issue the “Back to Black” singer a visa, despite the fact that she was nominated for six awards. Winehouse won five of those awards and performed via satellite.

The Coachella website crossed Amy Winehouse’s name off of the festival’s poster, making this news as official (and juvenile) as possible.

Honestly, couldn’t they just make a new one?
