Alexia Anastasio To Bring “Little Fishes” To Comic-Con & Cannes
Independent film maker, Alexia Anastasio, is no stranger to film festivals. She has directed over 9 films and is working on completing her current drama, “Little Fishes.” D.H. Lawrence’s literary work is the inspiration behind this film, that will center around women finding themselves and sorting out their romantic inclinations with each other.
While production is nearing completion, Anastasio is looking to crowd-funding to prepare the film for a touring release. Using her Kickstarter campaign, she was able to raise $2,000 that will go towards the completion of the project. The second part to her fundraising campaign, will be the goal of $8,000 to cover production costs and film submission fees.
The independent cinema world in the recent year has been very open and welcoming to these erotic films. The artistic LGBT centered films are becoming highly talked about pieces at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. Anastasio hopes to screen “Little Fishes” at the Cannes Film Festival and Market this summer in France.
