Ridley Scott’s “Alien” Turns The Big 3-5
It’s been 35 years since “Alien“ came out in theaters, which is pretty crazy.
If “Alien” was a person, it’d now be old enough to run for President of the United States. And you know what? I’d vote for it.
Luckily, Twentieth Century Fox chooses to celebrate this milestone anniversary with something better: new Ellen Ripley official action figures. Check out this sketch of one of the upcoming pieces from NECA:
Finally, Sigourney Weaver’s likeness can be added to that badass sci-fi ladies shrine you’ve been building.
This iconic character paved the way for some of the coolest science fiction and action heroines from the last three decades, and spawned an enduring film fashion trend. Our Lady of the Dirty Tank Top is slated to be recreated as at least two action figures and, according to Twentieth Century Fox, Titan Books will release a 35th anniversary retrospective featuring interviews with “Alien” director Ridley Scott and Ms. Weaver.
“Alien: Isolation,” the latest addition to the “Alien” franchise, which will be available for XBOX, Playstation, and PC later this year.
I love Sigourney Weaver’s character in Alien! She’s so badass!!!
