Victoria Beckham Changes The Look & Name Of Her Denim Line

By now people are recognizing Victoria Beckham as a designer, rather than a former Spice Girl or a footballer wife. She has overcome bad press (eating disorders, infidelities, etc.) and actually shown her doubters that she is not just a skinny bitch, but an intelligent businesswoman.

After acclaimed formal collections, she has come forth with the second incarnation of her denim line, called Victoria Beckham Denim. I have no clue why she decided to call the previous one DVB, since no one could easily recognize her famous name. So, in a narcissistic  indulgence, she goes ahead and stamps her full name on it.

The selection is limited, but she delivers avant-garde designs in an attempt to blend leggings with denim and splash some fun with contrasting lines in the sides.

Throughout the collection, you can see a defined style for the skinny chick (sorry, but this collection is indeed for tiny people). She goes from accented white under the belt and on the sides, to brown and shades of black in a futuristic approach to a garment that besides distortion, has not been modernized. She plays with embroidery and designs to show the heels in all their glory, after all, heel are something Victoria seems to never go without.

I love how she dared to design in turquoise, a pair of utterly simple jeans revived by that color.  She also follows trends and shows jeans with metal incrusted, in different shapes.

Overall, a very well rounded collection, not safe, not just “boyfriend jeans”. Very well worth the couple of hundred dollars it costs.

I like the jeans but, Do you have to be a size zero like this model to look good in these jeans? I’m a size 8, I think I had better keep my fat ass out of them.
