The entire original cast, which featured the likes of Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and David Cross, among others, is also set to return. Ron Howard, who narrated the 53 episode long series, has been rumored to direct while series creator Michael Hurwitz will pen the screenplay.

Jack Black is most well-known for his roles in such film classics as Kung-Fu Panda and School of Rock, but it’s with buddy and acoustic partner-in-crime Kyle Gass that he really shows off his comedic timing, not to mention impressive shredding skills. Fresh off the release of their latest live release, The Complete Masterworks Part II, the duo has again gone on tour to “rock the socks off” countless audiences. Whether it be debating the merits of gentle love-making vs. rough or pondering the possibility of an actual cock pushup, Tenacious D promise a wickedly entertaining show from the “greatest band in the world.”
