In case you haven’t heard — the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are finally coming back, and with their new album “It’s Blitz!,” they mean business.

Just days after releasing the album’s first single, “Zero,” the rest of the songs were soon also leaked (and shh…just between you and me, it’s pretty awesome). Even Kanye’s helping out Karen O and the boys. But the real blitzing of the album actually comes from the band themselves, with the release of a brand-spanking new website and some behind-the-scenes footage of the making of “It’s Blitz!”

But don’t expect some boring ole videos of the band lounging around a bare studio. As the first of this series, named “SNAKESWEAT: The Scientist,” proves, it’s not to be forgotten that the YYYs are an artsy bunch. Through the grainy black-and-white desert scene appears a gothed-out Nick Zinner (aka guitar god!) — complete with an umbrella to protect that crystalline skin — accompanied by the following haunting commentary:

“One thing is certain: he must destroy all remnants of his past to challenge the future.”

Omnious much? We love it anyway.
