We are barely entering summer, but I am pretty sure all fashionistas have bought more than enough clothes for the season, so I decided to review one of my favorite collections for Fall 2009, which are already up for grabs. Having said that, I have to confess two things: j’adore Dior and I love Galliano. Our favorite brit designer has worked in some of Dior’s most prolific, controversial and avant-garde collections up to date, and with his own label, John Galliano, he has crossed every single boundary he has encountered, with a true passion for design and breaking rules.

Tucked away in a little corner near Sunset and Cahuenga, Big Wangs can best be described as half biker bar, half Pizza Hut. The red and white checkered tablecloths hearken back to the day where you bonded with your little league team over video games and greasy grub.

And believe me, the whole world is bowing down to her two hit singles, number one in both the US and UK, the biggest markets to conquer. No need to drop designer names. No need for expensive boutiques. All she does is take a garment and make it her own, bless it with a personality and make it the next sensation.

This morning went by as usual. I got out of the gym and straight into my vintage Burberry yellow-brown-and-white checked shirt. I put on these comfortable gap pants and Kenneth Cole belt, and left ready to take over the world, driving like a maniac and drinking Diet Coke. Recently, while watching an episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, I saw a couple of drag queens lip-synching for their lives to a song encouraging one to “put their freakum dress on.” “Freakum dress?” I said aloud. “What is this freakum dress and why don’t I have one,” I asked myself, followed by, “How is it that contestants on a gay man’s reality show know more about being a girl than I do?”
