GUIDE: Top 5 Most Romantic Restaurants in LA
We’ve already provided you with great ideas on how to spend your Valentine’s Day if you’re on a budget, but if money is no object, here’s a list of the most romantic places to wine and dine your date. F.Y.I. getting a reservation this late in the game may be tricky, but try calling each establishment to check for cancellations, and don’t forget the ever-helpful online dining resource, opentable.com!
1. Spark Woodfire Grill, 11801 Ventura Blvd. Studio City, CA. (818) 623-8883.
Looking for a delicious meal while enveloped in a casual, yet classy ambience? Then look no further than Spark Woodfire Grill. The menu includes a variety of salads and thin crust pizzas, but you’ll find its forte in the seafood, steak, and ribs and chops that are all cooked in a woodfire grill (hence, the name). Spark is perfect for those who would like a nice outing, without the formality typically associated with one.
2. Numbers, 8745 Santa Monica Blvd. Los Angeles, CA. (310) 652-7700.
Located in heart of boy-town, this is the place to take your date if West Hollywood is your scene. The restaurant has recently been closed and re-opened as a gay gentleman’s club, so I wouldn’t recommend it as a first date destination…better safe than sorry, right? Numbers is located on the second floor, try to finagle a table near the window for a gorgeous night-time view of Santa Monica Blvd. The menu here consists of steak and seafood, served with traditional sides like sauteed vegetables and mashed potatoes.
3. C & O Trattoria, 31 Washington Blvd. Marina Del Rey, CA. (310) 823-9491.

Don’t be surprised if the waiters break out into song, “That’s Amore” is definitely a staple here among the incredible Northern Italian cuisine. Come to C & O Trattoria if you’re craving a big bowl of pasta or gnocchi, the menu is huge and the portions are equally extravagant. The beach isn’t too far away, so if you’re in the mood for a romantic stroll (or if you just need to walk off some of those decadent garlic rolls) this is the perfect place for a little post-dinner canoodling.
4. Akbar Cusine of India, 3115 Washington Blvd. Marina Del Rey, CA. (310) 574-0666.
Not only does Akbar offer an intimate setting, but it is also home to the best Indian food I’ve ever had in my life. Everything from the samosas to the tandoori chicken is incredible here. Another bonus: because the restaurant is so small, the wait staff is extremely attentive. If you’re seated next to the wall on the far left, you can even watch the cooks prepare your food.
5. Luna Park, 672 S. La Brea. Los Angeles, CA. (323) 934-2110.
Want an eclectic array of cocktails and entrees? Luna Park is the place. Here you can get anything from a burger and fires to pan seared mahi mahi served with couscous and bok choy. One of my personal favorites is the goat cheese fondue (shown above) and for dessert, indulge your inner-child and order the s’mores. Trust me, it tastes better here than it did at camp. The interior of Luna Park is fun, hip and interesting. The only downside to this place is that it can get kind of loud, so it you’re looking to make a romantic connection you might have to find it elsewhere.

I would suggest the A.O.C. Amazing small plates, cheese & wine selections, and tres romantique! The servers are EXTREMELY knowledgeable too.
If you’re feeling hip, perhaps Blue Velvet. Small plates as well and they offer a fixe prix menu. They also have a cute Valentine’s Day menu set up. Cool and eco-friendly atmosphere (apparently the whole restaurant is made from eco-friendly products) and check out the awesome bathroom!
Love Luna Park…. you can get the “make your own s’mores” for dessert…mmm…
This is cute. Sucks that I can’t get a date for V-day. I need to lose my mind. Seriously, but mmm…those things all look so tasty! C&O is def my fave and they have great service and people singing for you!
NUMBERS is sexyyy
Melograno is sooooo romantic and the Northern Italian food is amazing. It’s kind of small, so make reservations soon.
