RED Carpet

So you made it through the painfully boring 80th annual Academy Awards.

You yawned through Jon Stewart’s lame jokes and you chuckled to yourself when every movie that was “supposed” to win, actually won. Wow, Hollywood, you’re getting boring. There weren’t even any crazy fashion mistakes on the red carpet. But if last night was any indicator of what’s going to be hot this season, I’ll bet you’ll be sizzling in scarlet.

Starlets like Anne Hathaway, Katherine Heigl, Heidi Klum and Miley Cyrus were all decked out in red, which was the overwhelming favorite color of the night. However, although all four ravishing women donned long, red gowns, there was one clear stand-out.

In our opinion, Heidi Klum blew the crimson competition out of the water in this sweeping, Galliano gown. The interesting top, straight neckline and gorgeous train made Klum a red carpet stand-out.

If you’re ready to jump on the red bandwagon, we’ve got your fix. Replace that little back dress, with a red one and you’ll definitely turn heads. Just keep it classy, like this David Meister cocktail dress, available at Neiman Marcus.

If you loved the fun neckline of Heidi Klum’s Galliano gown, you might like this silk Geren Ford top, available at Shopbop.com.

But if you’re a shoe person, like me, you might appreciate these wedges available at Nordstrom.com. Very Bettie Page.
